According to Ekaterinburg on March 4 news: Russian Urals Mining and Metals Company (UMMC) Thursday the company said in a
newsletter, this year's refined copper production is expected to reach 356,918 tons, up 8% over 2009.
Company said 2009 production of refined copper totaled 330,129 tons.
UMMC has also said that this year will invest more than 20 billion rubles (67.1 million U.S. dollars) on new equipment, as in
the 2012-2014 period to raise copper output to 500,000 tons, 130 million U.S. dollars plan.
